- It might debut at Geneva next year
- Will succeed the Agera and the Regera, both of which have been sold out
Koenigsegg is known to build some of the most exotic and probably the fastest street-legal hypercars in the world and each one of them is hand-built on order. Well, as a matter of fact, the current line-up of the the Agera and the Regera are all sold out and so, when Koenigsegg opened a new dealership in Australia, they gave the interested clientele a glimpse of one of their new projects.
The sketch shows the rear profile of a focussed, low-slung machine with a large rear wing and a rear-splitter with wide tires. The lines aren’t as sharp and angular as the Agera and aren’t as round as the Regera, creating its own blend of aggression and exotic.
Knowing the engineering genius of Christian Von Koenigsegg, there will be a technological surprise underneath that body-shell, something like the lack of a gearbox in the Regera. But one thing we know for sure is that the new Koenigsegg will be faster than ever and also might have the last three letters of its name ‘era’.
