Kia has officially taken the wraps off the new Syros B-SUV ahead of its launch which will take place early next year. The model is positioned between the Seltos and the Sonet in Kia India’s line-up.
Under the hood, the new Kia Syros is powered by 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The petrol mill develops 118bhp and 172Nm of torque, while the diesel motor generates 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard while six-speed torque converter automatic and seven-speed DCT units are available as options.
In terms of design, the 2024 Syros receives ice-cube LED headlamps with LED DRLs, L-shaped LED taillights, flush-fitting door handles, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, integrated spoiler, shark-fin antenna, and faux skid plates at either end.
The interior of the Kia Syros comes equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite, new two-spoke steering wheel, eight-speaker Harman Kardon-sourced music system, panoramic sunroof, EPB with auto hold function, ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, Kia Connect, rear seats with ventilation and recline functions and a wireless charger. Further, it gets an auto-dimming IRVM, four-way powered driver seat, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, drive and traction modes, dual 12.3-inch screens, touch-based AC controls, OTA updates, air purifier, dash cam with dual camera, paddle shifters, USB Type-C charging ports, ventilated front seats, and automatic climate control.
