- Will be the second generation of the SUV
- Could also spawn a next-gen Meridian
Jeep’s most recognisable car for India, the Compass, will enter a new generation by 2027. This has been officially announced by the automaker as a part of its future plans. The updated Compass is expected to retain the essence of the current car but with new features, design, and capabilities. It will be joined by an all-new Wrangler as well as an all-new Grand Cherokee.
As a part of its larger global plans, the American automaker is overhauling its larger cars as well as introducing an all-new SUV that will find a place in its line-up above the Compass. The design of this SUV could vary depending on the market and in our case; it is likely to be an all-new three-row Meridian.
These new models will gain even more prominence as India is currently Jeep’s RHD production hub and all these cars will roll out from its Ranjangaon factory, both for domestic and export consumption.
