Jeep’s luxury SUV offering, the Cherokee will undergo a significant revision for 2019, five years after it was unveiled. The model is one of Jeep’s most popular models sold globally.
While the basic shell won't deviate much from the current vehicle, the styling will get more conventional and more in line with newer siblings such as the Compass. The off-road minded Trailhawk model will continue, and is likely get more abilities to distinguish it from four-cylinder rivals.
That's right, the four-cylinder Cherokee is likely headed for the trash heap in order to position it as a smaller Grand Cherokee and away from the compact crossover Compass. That V6 will benefit from revised economy figures and a stop-start system, as well as the 9-speed automatic.
We expect the new Jeep Cherokee to be revealed later this year.
