Isuzu has revealed the 2020 D-Max pick-up truck range in Thailand ahead of its official debut on 19 October. The vehicle has been in the global market since 2011 and will finally get a generational upgrade after eight years. The pick-up truck incorporates the ‘Infinite Potential’ theme that gives it a rugged design with premium styling elements. The vehicle will be first introduced in Thailand followed by other markets before arriving in India in 2020.
Based on what can be seen, the new-generation Isuzu D-Max has incorporated modern design elements with a pair of restyled headlamps with projector lights, LED DRLs and a large two-slat black grille that enhances its sporty appeal. The bumper features strong muscular lines with fog lights neatly encased in black housings. The sides look fresh and new with black ORVMs, arch cladding, and black roof rails. At the rear, the LED taillights gets a squared treatment along with black treatment for freshness. The tailgate design is all new and it further enhances the overall aesthetics.
The interior is all new and it gets an updated dashboard with a large touchscreen infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The upcoming vehicle will get triangular air-con vents that complements the overall design. The upcoming vehicle will also get a new multi-function steering wheel with a new instrument cluster with a large 4.2-inch digital dash display. As seen in images, the vehicle will get a black-brown dual-tone upholstery.
Under the hood, the international spec Isuzu D-Max is powered by a new 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 188bhp and 450Nm of peak torque. Additionally, it is believed that the company might introduce the updated version of 1.9-litre RZ4E turbodiesel four-cylinder engine to produce marginally higher performance figures.
