The 2014 variant of the Audi A3 sedan has been spotted testing on Indian soil again. This is the third such time that the car has been spotted testing just a few months after its official unveiling and launch. Audi has said that the car will be brought to the Indian market by the middle of 2014.
The Audi A3 sedan looks similar to any other sedan in Audi’s portfolio the Audi A3 sedan cannot be quickly identified as a different variant. However it is apparently to be the cheapest car in Audi’s line-up but boasts many features like a high-resolution seven inch screen, an infotainment system, Audi phone box, a module for digital radio reception and 705W Bang & Olufsen sound system all offered as standard.
The A3 sedan will be powered by a 1.4-litre petrol churning out 140bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque and another 1.8-litre petrol that will churn out 180 bhp and same amount of torque. The oil-burner 2.0-litre turbo diesel will develop 150bhp and 320 Nm of torque.
It is expected to be unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo which would be held early next year. It would be initially be launched via the CBU(Completely Built Unit) route and priced in the range of Rs 25-30 lakh but will eventually become a locally assembled model.
