The Hyundai Venue is set to be officially unveiled in India on 17 April. Ahead of its debut, Hyundai India has commenced the teaser campaign for its new compact SUV. The new teaser displays the front profile, along with the unique DRL pattern. Hyundai’s smallest SUV will also feature a sunroof, which is available on the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra XUV300.
While Venue might seem like an unusual name, Hyundai explains that the name is a reference a place that people want to be seen, and in this case, inside the SUV. The Maruti Vitara Brezza rival will be Hyundai’s first connected SUV in the country. The Hyundai Venue will feature the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy with the familiar cascading grille and a two-tier headlamp setup.
The Hyundai Venue is expected to set new benchmarks in the compact SUV segment when it comes to quality, performance and design. Mechanically, the Venue will employ a new 1.0-litre GDI turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.4-litre CRDi four-cylinder diesel motor. Both the powertrains will be available with a six-speed manual or a torque converter automatic.
