Hyundai has unveiled the European spec 2018 i20 Active for the first time. Based on the latest-gen i20, this high riding hatchback is the first major update for the model. Here’s our picture gallery of the new i20 Active.
Like the standard car, the i20 Active comes with subtle changes all around, thereby updating the car but not so much that the identity of the vehicle has been lost.
The most noticeable update comes in the form of the cascade grille which dominates the face while the star shaped fuel filler cap has been replaced by a conventional one.
The cabin remains unchanged from the outgoing model except for some new trim colours including a new optional blue and black combination with blue accents as a part of the package.
The Euro spec i20 Active gets a 1-litre turbo charged unit in two states of tune. The lower spec 98bhp comes with a five-speed manual while the 118bhp variant gets a six-speed manual.
Hyundai will launch the same car here in the Indian market but without the driver assistance systems and a few luxury features. It will get 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine options.
