New Hyundai Grand i10 likely to be launched in August

Hyundai has been extensively testing the new Grand i10 in India for a while now. Post much wait, it is believed that Hyundai might launch the new Grand i10 in the country on 20 August. The company has not officially announced the launch date for the new iteration of its popular selling hatchback. The new model will be based on an all-new platform that is expected to be lighter, flexible, safer and wider than its predecessor.

The new model is likely to get a roomier cabin, mostly due to slimmer seats as compared to the current version. The new seat layout will be accommodating and offer adjustable headrest. The redesigned centre console will offer a decent amount of storage space for your cellphone, wallet and other odds and ends.  

As for features, the top spec version is likely to get climate control and multiple airbags, while the lower variants will get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed and seatbelt alert as standard. Under the hood, the vehicle is expected to get BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engine options. There have also been reports of a downsized three-cylinder petrol engine likely to be introduced in the new Grand i10 as seen in other Hyundai cars.
