While we are still waiting for the Jazz for the Indian market, Honda has announced the new Jazz for the European market. The hatchback will get a few changes to the exterior, a 1.3-litre engine under the hood and will premiere at the Geneva Motor Show.
The new Honda Jazz revealed for Europe comes with a chrome grille different from the black grille that is seen on the model for the Japanese, American and Indian market. This is the same car that was showcased at the Paris Motor Show last year in a pre-production form.
Coming to the powertrain, the 1.3-litre petrol mill will be available at the time of launch. The new Jazz will be powered by the 1.3-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that churns out 102bhp of power and will come mated to a new six-speed manual gearbox. There will also be an optional CVT transmission. The other models that are sold in the other markets come paired to a five-speed manual transmission. According to reports, the hybrid model of the Jazz will also be launched that will be powered by a 1.5-litre engine paired to an electric motor.
The new Honda Jazz will be manufactured at the automaker's facility in Swindon, UK and the car is expected to go on sale in the European market in a couple of months. This is around the same time when we can see the India-spec Jazz to be launched in our country.
