The new Honda City Diesel will be equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox according to a report from Motorbash. The all-new Honda City was unveiled for the global market at a function in Delhi on November 25 and features a revised design, updated feature list and most importantly a new diesel engine.
The diesel engine is the same one from the Amaze sedan which means it is expected to produce 98bhp and 200Nm of torque. However, with the knowledge that the car has been fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox, we can expect that it will be quite fuel efficient and be a hoot to cruise on the highways. The Amaze has an ARAI fuel efficiency of 25.8kmpl so we expect that with the sixth gear, this number should be even higher.
We have detailed the new Honda City as well as pitted it against its main rivals and are now waiting for a chance to get behind the wheel and will bring you all the details as soon as we have them.
