- Expected to launch by the end of this year
- Likely to remain mechanically unchanged
Skoda India started testing the upcoming new-gen Kodiaq SUV in the country last month. Since then, the model has been spied doing test runs completely undisguised in the white exterior paint scheme. The flagship Skoda SUV is likely to make its debut by the end of this year.
As seen in the picture, the fourth-gen Skoda Kodiaq gets a completely redesigned rear profile with C-shaped connected LED taillights, extended roof spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and a revised rear bumper.
On the sides, the Kodiaq will ride on new alloy wheels with squared-off wheel arches. Furthermore, the front end of the SUV will flaunt a new design with its enlarged front grille, reworked bumper and radiator grille, and revised split LED headlamps.
Mechanically, the new iteration of Kodiaq will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre TSi petrol engine coupled with an eight-speed automatic gearbox with AWD configuration. Upon arrival, the new Skoda Kodiaq will maintain its rivalry with the Volkswagen Tiguan, MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Hyundai Tucson in the Indian market.
