Skoda India has begun testing the fourth-generation Kodiaq in the country. Spy shots shared on the web give us the first look at the uncamouflaged test mule finished in a shade of white. The new-gen Kodiaq is expected to be introduced in India by the end of the year.
Unveiled in October last year, the new Kodiaq will get an updated design while retaining the overall silhouette of the SUV. Up front, it will have a set of revised split headlamps, L-shaped LED DRLs, reworked front bumper, black ORVMs sitting on the A-pillars, and a brushed aluminium finish for the grille and B and D-pillars.
The side profile of the 2024 Skoda Kodiaq shows that it will have new alloy wheels, while the posterior will flaunt fresh C-shaped LED taillights, ‘Skoda’ lettering on the tailgate, and a redesigned rear bumper. We expect new paints to be available as well.
Inside, the new Kodiaq takes inspiration from the new-gen Skoda Superb, evident from the dual-tone brown and black theme, two-spoke steering wheel, and more. Other notable features include a 10-inch fully digital instrument cluster, 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto-dimming IRVM, and an ADAS suite.
Under the hood, this Toyota Fortuner-, MG Gloster-, and the Jeep Meridian- rival is expected to be powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, TSI petrol engine developing 187bhp and 320Nm, paired with a seven-speed DCT unit.
