- Expected to get hybrid power
- Will get a fresh exterior design
Barely a month after the next-gen Kia Seltos was spotted for the first time, the updated mid-size SUV has now commenced testing on Indian soil, hinting at a fresh update for the model coming to the country in the near future.
As seen in the spy images, the 2025 Kia Seltos wears heavy camouflage all around, thus hiding the changes and updates that will be offered when launched sometime late next year. The only visible element here is the new set of vertically stacked LED taillights with small extensions on either side of the lighting.
On the outside, the new Seltos is expected to get a fresh set of bumpers, new alloy wheels, and redesigned elements, such as the headlamps, grille, and tailgate. Also up for offer will be new fog lights and ORVMs.
Details regarding the changes to the interior of the second-gen Kia Seltos remain scarce at the moment. Apart from the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engines that are expected to be carried over from the current offering, a 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid mill is also expected to join the line-up. Once launched, it will rival the Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Tata Curvv, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, and the Volkswagen Taigun.
