Datsun has finally updated its Go and Go Plus range of small cars. Priced at Rs 3.29 lakhs for the Go hatchback and Rs 3.83 lakhs, for the GO Plus mini estate, these offerings are well priced and come with a host of updates. Here are the top four features you need to know about the new Datsun Go and Go Plus.
1. Revised exterior design
Both the models now get a new fascia which is seen in the revised front bumper. The slightly more aggressive looking bumper now has a vertical LED day-time-running lights strip integrated into the black insert. The grille is also revised along with the bumper. The overall profile, however, remains unchanged both in the Go and Go Plus. At the rear, the bumper is tweaked to keep things fresh but the biggest change comes in the form of 14-inch razor cut alloy wheels which look good.
2. Touch screen infotainment system with smartphone mirroring tech
The interior has been thoroughly refreshed, too, with new materials and colour schemes. In terms of tech upgrades, the revised centre console now houses a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The latter is a segment-first feature that will work well with a lot of buyers.
3. Two new colour options
The Go and Go Plus are available in up to five different trim levels. What’s more, two new colours namely “Amber Orange” and “Sun Stone Brown” have been added to the small car range.
4. Additional safety features
Lastly, there’s the most important safety aspect. Here Datsun has done well by increasing the body integrity for added safety. This has added almost 150 kilograms of weight to both the cars which will affect real world performance. In terms of features, there are dual front airbags and ABS with EBD and brake assist in top-end variants.
