GM Brazil is contemplating to get the all new Chevrolet Cruze saloon to the Brazilian market in November 2016. Sources reveal that this version will however be released in Argentina in the first week of May.
Argentinian auto journalists got to taste the top of the line LTZ Turbo Plus version that’s equipped with a 1.4-litre direct injection turbo. This motor makes 150bhp and replaces the current 1.8-litre mill that does duty on the Cruze. However, the new engine is expected to make more power and torque before it finds its way into the Brazilian Cruze.
On the inside, buyers will come across better fit and finish. There’s also more space in the cabin and the rear seat offers more support when compared to the existing car. The top end variant gets leather, powered driver seats, a media center with MyLink 2 and OnStar concierge system. Reports have also confirmed that GM Brazil intends to retain the current prices of the Cruze for the new car too. The car maker made the same exercise with the S10 and garnered a lot of attention.
