As we prepare to welcome the second month of the year, car manufacturers in the country are gearing up to launch a fresh set of cars for the Indian buyers. The vehicle option ranges from the compact SUV to the premium sedan. Here below are four cars that are expected to be launched next month.
The popular utility car manufacturer, Mahindra plans to launch the sub-compact SUV, the XUV300 in India on 14 February. The vehicle will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The vehicle gets cheetah-inspired styling elements along with a robust design and sturdy build. Along with all the premium convenience features like a large touchscreen infotainment system, push start-stop button and more, the compact SUV will also get segment-first features like seven airbags and a dual-zone climate control unit. The vehicle will be offered with 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine option.
Honda Civic
The new Civic has been built on an entirely new platform and the looks have been designed to fit in the new Honda design language. It looks like a baby Accord and is quite different in terms of styling from the previous generation cars. The signature thick chrome slat in the front with the modern LED headlamps The LED DRLs to look quite futuristic. The new model has notchback-like lines with a high boot lid and a sloping roof. The tail design is striking with the boomerang-shaped tail lamps, twin exhausts and multiple creases. The 17-inch alloys look striking as well. The tenth-generation Civic gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and naturally aspirated 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre engines. The premium sedan from Honda is likely to be launched next month.
Jeep compass Trail Hawk
Jeep will likely introduce a new top-spec off-road capable Trail Hawk version for its Compass range in India next month. The Compass Trail Hawk will only be offered in the diesel AT setup with cosmetic changes both on the inside and outside to match the pedigree of the vehicle. Back in March 2018, the vehicle was showcased with a contrasting coloured roof and Trail Hawk specific wheels that have also been painted in black. The Compass Trail Hawk will be offered with a 2.0-litre diesel motor producing 171bhp/350Nm with a nine-speed AT, AWD and a low-range gearbox as a part of the package.
Audi A8 L
Audi’s flagship sedan, the A8 L is likely to be launched in February 2019. The Audi A8 is stylistically defining - it signals the dawning of a new design era for the entire brand. The front end with the wide, upright single-frame grille and the fluid, muscular body symbolize sporty elegance, sophistication and progressive status. Audi’s Matrix LED technology with laser lighting for the headlight comes as standard. A strong shoulder line, lightly flared wheel arches and the stately boot makes the saloon muscular as well. Finally, the new LED tail lamp strip that runs across the boot finishes the new Audi look. The entry-level trim is expected to get a reworked 3.0-litre V6s in both petrol and diesel, while the higher trims are likely to be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine. The top-spec A8 L will have the legendary 6.0-litre W12 and all five engines have integrated 48V electrical centre with a mild hybrid that allows longer coasting and thereby offering a better fuel economy.
