Car sales in the country are usually slow in the month of April due to revision in prices for the new financial year. This time around, two new cars are likely to be showcased this month, of which one will be a new brand in the Indian market. As for a new product launch, the new Porsche 911 is likely to be introduced in the country this month. Read below to learn more –
Porsche 911
Porsche is likely to launch the eight-generation 911 in India on April 11. The recently updated Porsche India website features the Carrera S Line in both coupe and cabriolet body styles. The new model will be wider and muscular than its predecessor. The upcoming cars are expected to get the updated 3.0-litre turbocharged flat-six engine mated to a new eight-speed dual clutch transmission. The new model is expected to produce better power output figure of 445bhp at 6,500rpm and peak torque of 530Nm at 2,300-5,000 rpm. The new model is roughly about 0.4 seconds faster than its predecessor.
Hyundai’s first smart connected SUV with global Hyundai BlueLink Connectivity technology, the Venue, will be officially unveiled on 17 April. Simultaneously, the vehicle will also be showcased at the 2019 New York Auto Show for the global markets. The SUV has been spied without camouflage for the first time and you can read all about it here. Based on the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design the vehicle will be offered in three engine options - a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol that generates 100bhp and 172Nm, 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol, and a 1.4-litre four-cylinder diesel engine from the Verna. The transmission options are likely to include a six-speed manual or automatic option.
Groupe PSA will mark its debut in India with the Citroen brand. The C5 Aircross SUV is expected to be the first product to be introduced in the country before the end of 2021. At the brand launch event which is due to be held tomorrow, the company is likely to showcase the C5 Aircross. The SUV is available with a wide range of petrol and diesel engine options in the international market. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2-litre engine that produces 128bhp and a 1.5-litre diesel that generates 128bhp of power. There is also a larger 2.0-litre diesel on offer that produces 178bhp of power. The SUV is available with a six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic options.
