Even as we get closer to end of the year, there are still a few car launches pending. Couple of them have already announced their plans and launch dates, few others are still speculations based on dealer sources. Here is a list of upcoming cars that should be launched in November.
Range Rover Evoque
Land Rover will launch the new Range Rover Evoque in India on November 19. The company has already started accepting bookings for the new model and the crossover gets few cosmetic and mechanical changes over the outgoing model.
The new bumper and fog lamp housing along with the new full-LED headlamps and DRLs make the Evoque look even more aggressive. Inside, there are new seats and colour options for upholstery, also there is the choice of upgrading to 14-way adjustable seats with optional massager.
Expected price: Rs 52 lakh to Rs 60 lakh
Mercedes-Benz AMG-GT
This is the only proper sports car in Mercedes-Benz line up. The expectations from this car are so high that instead of adding ‘AMG’ to the name as suffix, the car is named the AMG-GT. The two-door sports coupe is a Porsche 911 rival and actually a much smaller car compared to the now discontinued SLS AMG.
The AMGT-GT will be available in eight colours - black, yellow, two shades of red, silver, grey, white and blue. Powered by a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8, the car is tuned to produce 510bhp and 650Nm, with credentials to take on the best in the segment. Mercedes will launch the AMG-GT in India on November 24.
Expected price: Rs 2.50 crore.
Maruti Suzuki WagonR AMT
Maruti Suzuki WagonR AMT has been spied a couple of times and chances are it will be launched this month. The B-Segment hatchback uses the same drivetrain as the Celerio which already has the five-speed AMT transmission. And since the Celerio isn’t doing too well, the same will now be offered with the Wagon R.
There won’t be any cosmetic changes to the car, though we might see a few additional graphics and AMT badging. The car will continue to use the 1.0-litre engine producing 67bhp and 90Nm of torque. Like in the Celerio, the AMT transmission may be offered by the LXi and VXi variants.
Expected price: Rs 4.50 lakh to Rs 5 lakh
New Audi Q7
Audi has imported a large lot of the next generation Q7 to India, hinting at the impending launch. The seven-seater SUV based on the MQB platform, uses Audi’s new design philosophy with hexagonal grille and large air intakes on the bumper. The SUV also gets the matrix headlamps that provide brilliant illumination and also look great.
The new Q7 will have all the features necessary in a premium car including a touch screen system, high- end music player, elaborate safety net and ambient lighting. Once launched, it will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GL and the BMW X5.
Expected price: Rs 70 lakh to Rs 85 lakh
New Skoda Superb
Another product based on Volkswagen’s MQB platform to be launched in India is the Skoda Superb. The next generation model has been spotted in India several times and it is both bigger and more feature loaded than the outgoing model.
In terms of looks, the new Superb looks sharper than before. The front grille gets hexagonal stats and the headlamps are more premium than before with new projector units and LED DRLs. The car is both wider and longer than before, offering more space inside the cabin. The features list will also be enhanced with upgraded music system and a better electronic safety pack. The car will be available with choice of both petrol and diesel engines coupled with either the six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Expected price: Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh
