    New car discounts in May 2019

    Potential new car buyers looking forward to driving home a new car can now avail a wide range of offers in May. Most leading automakers in the country like Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Honda and more offer lucrative discounts and deals in May. The benefits come in the form of an extended warranty, cash discounts and exchange bonus and more. Read below to learn more about lucrative new car discounts for May 2019. The below mentioned offers and discounts will vary in different cities and the model variants -

    Maruti Suzuki

    The recently updated Maruti Suzuki Ignis attracts a discount of up to Rs 15,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. The slow-selling Maruti S Cross attracts a discount of Rs 20,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000. Additionally, the manual Sigma, Delta and Zeta variant of the Baleno attracts a discount of Rs 15,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 25,000. Apart from these, the popular selling models like the Baleno and the automatic trims of the Ciaz/Ciaz Alpha manual does not get any discount, however, the company offers exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively. The company is also offering a wide range of corporate discount across the product lineup.

    The new Maruti Suzuki Alto, Swift and the Brezza attract cash discount of Rs 15,000 and exchange benefit of Rs 20,000, except for the Brezza which comes with exchange benefit of Rs 15,000. The Alto K10 manual and the Dzire attracts a cash discount of Rs 20,000 and an equivalent exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. All models of the Celerio and the Alto K10 AMT attract cash discount of Rs 25,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. Maruti Suzuki Eeco the replacement for the Omni attracts cash discount of Rs 5,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 10,000. The new-gen Ertiga does not attract any benefit. 

    Hyundai

    As Hyundai gears up to launch the new Grand i10 in India later this year, the current generation model attracts a cash discount of Rs 61,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000. The Xcent, which is also due for a generation upgrade attracts a cash discount of Rs 50,000 and exchange bonus of 30,000. The Grand i10 and the Xcent are available with an additional discount of Rs 4,000 and Rs 5,000, respectively for government employees. The Hyundai Santro attracts a cash discount of Rs 11,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. 

    There is no offer for the Creta this month and other popular selling products like the Elite i20 and i20 Active attract exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. The Verna attracts an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000. 

    Honda 

    In an effort to boost sales for the Amaze in May, Honda India is offering the extended warranty of fourth and fifth year along with the Honda three year service maintenance package. The Jazz and the WRV are available with free first-year insurance and an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. The City on the other hand also gets free first-year insurance, but with a higher exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. The slow-selling product from Honda, the BRV is available with the benefit of Rs 1 lakh, which includes, free first-year insurance along with exchange benefit of Rs 50,000 and accessories worth Rs 16,000.   

    The recently introduced Civic, CR-V and the Accord do not offer any discount in May. 

    Tata Motors

    The country’s popular utility vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors has been witnessing low sales for the Hexa in India. In an effort to revive sales for the feature loaded lifestyle vehicle, the company has announces massive benefits of up to Rs 50,000. The Tigor petrol attracts a cash discount of Rs 25,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. The Tiago XZ Plus petrol variant, on the other hand, attracts a cash discount of Rs 10,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 10,000. The diesel variant of the Nexon attracts cash benefits of Rs 15,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. The petrol variant of the Nexon, on the other hand, is available with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. Except for the Harrier and the JTP version of the Tiago and Tigor, the rest of the Tata cars are offered with an additional corporate discount of Rs 3,000. 

    Ford Motors

    Back in April Ford had slashed prices for the Figo Titanium Blu. This time around the regular Figo also attract a cash discount of Rs 20,000. Along with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000, the Aspire attracts a discount of Rs 25,000 and the Freestyle and the EcoSport attracts a cash discount of Rs 30,000. Ford’s big SUV, the Endeavour manual attracts a cash discount of Rs 50,000. 

    Mahindra

    Mahindra, a popular name in the utility vehicle segment is offering a heavy cash discount of Rs 63,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 on the pre-facelift version of the TUV300. The TUV300 Plus, on the other hand, attracts a cash discount of Rs 40,000 for the P4 variant and exchange bonus of Rs 25,000. The Bolero Power Plus attracts a cash discount of Rs 15,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 10,000.  

    The popular SUVs from Mahindra, the XUV500 and the Scorpio attract cash discount of Rs 36,000 and 30,000, respectively, along with the exchange benefit of Rs 25,000. 

    Renault

    Renault’s entry-level product the Kwid is available with an extended warranty for a third and fourth year along with zero per cent interest rate calculated on loan of Rs 1.85 lakh (800cc)/ Rs 2.35 Lakh (1.0-litre) for a tenor of 18 months. The Lodgy Standard and RXE variant attract cash benefits of Rs 30,000 along with first-year insurance on the Stepway variant. 

    Speaking of Renault SUVs the Duster diesel attracts free first-year insurance along with zero per cent interest rate calculated on loan of Rs 7.27 lakh for 18 Month along with a corporate discount of Rs 5000.
