BMW India has launched the new M2 in the country at a starting ex-showroom cost of Rs. 1.03 crore. The updated two-door performance sedan now offers improved performance and benefits from four new exterior paint hues, including Portimao Blue, Fire Red, Sao Paulo Yellow, and Skyscraper Grey.
Under the hood, the new BMW M2 sports a 3.0-litre turbocharged motor paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an optional six-speed manual gearbox. With this update, the M2 is even more powerful with 486bhp and 600Nm of torque on the spec sheet and a 0-100kmph acceleration speed of under 4 seconds. Notably, the top speed is electronically limited to 250kmph. However, this can be increased to 285kmph by purchasing the M Driver’s Package.
Apart from the new colour schemes, the exterior of the updated M2 remains unchanged. Coming to the cabin, the M2 now gets a new flat-bottom steering wheel with Alcantara finish. Furthermore, the infotainment of the sedan works on the latest BMW iDrive with Operating System 8.5.
