-6.0-litre W12 develops 626 bhp, 900 Nm of torque
-Top speed of 306 kmph and 0-100 kmph in 3.9 seconds
Bentley has announced its new SUV, the Bentayga Speed. Now it’s a given that it being a Bentley, it will be one of the most luxurious SUVs out there but that was already established with the standard Bentley. The Bentayga Speed as the name implies concentrates on performance. In fact Bentley is claiming that it is the world’s fastest SUV.
To back that claim, the Bentayga Speed gets an enhanced version of the 6.0-litre W12 engine. The numbers as expected are mind boggling. 626 bhp and a whopping 900 Nm of torque that propels this behemoth to a 100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds and go on to hit a top speed of 306 kmph. As with all Bentayga’s, the all-wheel-drive Speed is equipped with electronic differential lock and up to eight drive dynamics modes.
On the handling front, the Speed comes with Dynamic Ride which is the world’s first electric active roll control technology that utilizes an unrivalled 48V system. This system instantly counteracts lateral rolling forces while cornering and ensures maximum tyre contact to deliver better cabin stability, ride comfort and exceptional handling.
To match the go with show, the Speed gets dark tint headlights, body-coloured side skirts and a tailgate spoiler hint at the SUVs performance credentials. Dark-tint radiator and bumper grilles, a unique 22-inch wheel design available in three finishes and Speed signature badging add to the sporting design cues.
The Bentley Bentayga Speed will debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show and will go on sale later in the year.
