Audi has launched the latest generation model of the TT for the Chinese market. A famed design icon, this new generation model comes in Coupe and Roadster form, with prices ranging between 542.800 yuan (Rs 55 lakh) and 617.800 yuan (Rs 63 lakh) depending on the trim.
For China, Audi is offering a single engine option in the form of the 2-litre TFSI unit with 230hp of power and 370nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch unit that sends power to the front wheels or to all four wheels.
Given that the previous model was a big hit among Chinese buyers, Audi is looking to replicate the success with this latest-gen model. Like in the Indian market, the China-spec TT competes with the BMW Z4 and the Mercedes-Benz SLK.
