Audi will be presenting its latest-generation TT range at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The range will include the much improved coupe and convertible models of what has been one of the best-selling sports cars of the modern era.
Like the Euro-spec models, the US-bound coupe and convertible TT models will be available with quattro all-wheel drive and Audi’s drive select system. Powering the range will be the 2-litre TSFI four-cylinder petrol engine developing 220bhp of power and 349Nm of torque. The high-performance TTS, on the other hand, will feature a more powerful four-pot unit with 292bhp of power 379Nm of torque.
Inside, the highlighting piece of technology is the fully digital instrument cluster which houses a big 12.3-inch display. The system replaces traditional dials and offers up a plethora of information for the driver. Audi has announced that the new TT will go on sale in the US during the second quarter of 2015.
While the convertible model is unlikely to make it to the Indian market, the coupe has been continuously spotted in Mumbai, suggesting that Audi India could be preparing for an early 2015 launch.
