- Gets refreshed styling and new features
- Assembled in India
Audi India recently started accepting bookings for the updated Q7 SUV, which boasts refreshed styling and several new features. Prospective buyers can book the car by paying a token amount of Rs. 2 lakh through Audi India's website. Its price will be announced on 28 November, 2024. Here's what to expect from the upcoming new Q7 that will be assembled at the Skoda-VW plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
Exterior
The new Q7 will be offered in five shades such as Sakhir Gold (from the Q8), Waitomo Blue, Samurai Grey, Glacier White, and Mythos Black. Appearance-wise, this facelifted Q7 draws inspiration from the Q8 with similarities like the newly designed Matrix LED headlights with darkened surrounds. The Q7's DRLs come in four distinct patterns that can be customised through the infotainment system. Other exterior updates include a redesigned grille with a mesh-like pattern that replaces the previous vertical slat design.
Interior
As for interior colour options, customers can opt for Cedar Brown or Saiga Beige. Otherwise, the SUV's cabin layout remains identical to the outgoing model with three screens. There's one for the instrument cluster, another for infotainment, and a dedicated display for the climate controls. The instrument cluster also incorporates new functions including distance monitoring, lane change warnings, intersection assist, and even traffic light information.
Engine and gearbox option
Under the hood, the Q7 facelift retains its 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that produces 335bhp and 500 Nm of torque. This enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 5.6 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 250kmph.
Launch timeline and price
The upcoming Audi Q7 is slated to be launched on November 28, 2024. It was unveiled globally in January this year and this is the first time in five years that the seven-seater SUV has received a facelift. As for the existing model on sale, it is priced from Rs. 96.34 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs. 97.84 lakh for the Bold Edition. We expect the carmaker to demand a slight premium for this updated model when launched.
