Mumbai’s first DC fast charger for electric vehicles has been installed at the Maharashtra Mantralaya. It has a capacity of 15kW and has been built on the Bharat EV specification standard. The installation of this fast charger in the main government office of India’s richest metro is a major step as it indicates the Center’s seriousness with regard to achieving EV mobility by 2030.
The fast charger was inaugurated in the presence of union minister for science and technology and earth Sciences, Dr Harsh Vardhan, and Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis.
Commenting on the launch of the fast charger, Akshaye Barbuddhe, business head of EV Charging Solutions Delta Electronics India said “With our new range of electric vehicle charging solutions, we intend to support the central government’s mission to drive electric mobility. Our entire suite of solutions in EV Charging including the Bharat Chargers will complement the Indian e-mobility initiative providing a reliable technology and backing of the Delta brand. The DC Fast Charger station that is provided by Delta at Mantralaya has the capacity of 15 kW and is made based on the Bharat EV specifications standard. “
