Multiple variants of the next-gen Chevy Camaro have been spotted on test ah ead of its official unveiling next month. It appears to have carried over the design of the current car but is now longer, lower and is likely to be offered with multiple engine options.
The photos reveal two models which by our estimates are the base four-cylinder model as well as the top-spec SS model. The former gets a slightly different fascia as well as smaller alloy wheels while the SS model gets large black wheels, four tail pipe exhaust setup, mesh front grille and a rear wing.
The company has already said that the new Camaro will be offered with multiple drive modes to deal with a variety of terrains. The SS versions will get a track mode, an optional magnetic ride control system as well a dual-mode exhaust system.
The Camaro is one the top five iconic American muscle cars and was originally on sale from 1966 to 2002. The moniker was revived in 2007 and this new car will be the sixth generation of the vehicle.
While Chevrolet does not currently sell the Camaro in India it is a familiar face for us thanks to it playing the four-wheeled avatar of Bumblebee, the robot protagonist from the Transformer series of movies.
