- Majority of brands announced portfolio-wide price hike
- Reason attributed to rising input and operational costs
The majority of OEMs have announced a portfolio-wide price hike that will take effect from tomorrow, 1 January , 2025. While the reason for the price revision may not be the same, most of the brands have attributed it to rising input and operational costs.
Brands like Jeep, Citroen, Skoda, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Kia, MG, Tata, and Maruti Suzuki have already declared the upcoming price revision. Not only the mass market brands, but even luxury automakers like Mercedes-Benz and BMW will increase the asking price of their products in the coming month.
Although the exact amount may vary, most brands reported that the price increase will range between 1 and 4 per cent.
