This 2019 Renegade gets a new set of three-cylinder and four-cylinder petrol engines in the range of 1.0-litre to 1.3-litres in various states of tune. These are the latest set of MultiAir engines and make their debut with this car. The diesel options include a 1.6-litre diesel as well as a 2.0-litre diesel, both of which can be had with a six-speed manual or a nine-speed AT. Expanded off-road capabilities This new Renegade gets Jeep Active Drive Low which integrates Jeep Active Drive taking the crawl ratio to 20:1 for genuine 4x4 performance. The system has been paired with the 2.0-litre diesel engine and nine-speed transmission. It adds hill-descent control functions to Selec-Terrain.
Trailhawk With its independent-wheel suspension able to guarantee a maximum wheel articulation up to 205 mm and a ground clearance of up to 210 mm, Jeep Renegade Trailhawk defines the reference in the segment and offers best-in-class 4x4 capability. Furthermore, on this version, Selec-Terrain integrates the Rock function to maximise wheel traction and improve grip.Uconnect as standard All variants of the Renegade will now get the Uconnect infotainment system with varying screen sizes depending on the grade. Standard bits include Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, internet radio and UConnect Live which enhances internet connectivity across the range.This Renegade will come to India in 2019 and take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster as well as future models from Kia, Volkswagen, Peugeot, MG Tata and Maruti Suzuki.
