More details on the Tata Falcon 4 Project revealed

Tata is expected to revamp its Indica Vista premium hatchback very soon and may want to launch it under a new brand name. The revamped Indica Vista (codenamed Falcon 4 Project) will share many of its components with the existing vehicle including underpinnings and platform but is expected to get new design and engine options.

Car Toq, who seem to have got pictures of a heavily disguised test mule, say that the new car will get projector headlamps, completely revised front grille to separate it from the Vista and wheel arch mounted indicators. The rear gets a new bumper complete with new design for the number plate holder. However, the biggest change is that this vehicle will have completely new tail lamps and will lose the signature Indica Christmas tree setup.

The interiors are expected to be carried over from the current Indica Vista but will obviously be offered with more features and a slight upgrade to the current offerings. We can now expect that features like rear vents, two-din system with touch screen and rear parking sensors to be standard fittings on the top-spec variant.

In terms of engines, we expect that Tata will continue with the 1.3-litre Fiat sourced Multijet Diesel for the oil burner but will introduce a new set of engines in the petrol range which will also power the car in international markets.
