Kia has announced that it will showcase a new SUV concept for the Indian car market at the 2018 Auto Expo. The crossover has been named the SP and it will be the highlight at the Kia stall. Ahead of the reveal, we have taken an in-depth look at the preview images that have been shared and here are our observations.
Given that SUVs are the ‘in’ thing, it only seems logical for Kia to make its debut here with an SUV styled vehicle. In this case, the SP gets a rear sloping roofline and heavily flared wheel arches. Also visible in our enhanced image is the strong shoulder line and five-spoke petal design alloy wheels. We can also see that the face will get the wraparound head lamps and of course, the signature ‘tiger nose’ grille.
The second images shows the rear-end of the car from which you can glean details like the LED tail lamps, chrome strip above the light and number plate sections, contrast coloured bumper section and bash plate element. There also dual exhausts visible in the picture.
The length of the SP is expected to be around 4.5-meters which make it the same length as the likes of almost every D-segment SUV present today, but it is still too early to say anything. However, we will get more details of the car once it is unveiled during the Auto Expo.
