Mitsubishi has announced a new concept to be revealed at the upcoming 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. The good news is that it will revive the iconic Evolution moniker. However, it will have an ‘e’ prefix and it won’t be a sports sedan. That’s right! The new concept will be a low slung SUV-coupe called the e-Evolution.
Insofar, the Tokyo-based carmaker has released just a single teaser of the upcoming concept. The vague images highlight the futuristic and edgy body lines of the crossover-coupe. The tail-lights are visibly angular and integrated into the floating D-pillar. The sleek mirrors, air-scoops on the roof and a lip-spoiler completes the concept’s design.
Mitsubishi says that the “high performance automobile will blend Mitsubishi Motors’ signature 4WD and electric powertrain expertise with advanced Artificial Intelligence technology”. No further details are available about this aggressive concept as of now. More details will surface ahead of the Tokyo debut.
The 2017 Tokyo Motor Show will open its gate on 27 October. CarWale will be there as well to bring you exclusive coverage of the Japanese auto show. So, stay tuned.
