Mitsubishi will officially launch their new SUV, the Outlander, on 20 August in India. The premium mid-size SUV will be making its comeback in the Indian market after it made its debut back in 2007. Known for its performance and handling, the Outlander will be back with the punchy the 2.4-litre MIVEC petrol engine.
The mid-size SUV now seats seven unlike the previous five-seater iteration and comes with leather upholstery. The infotainment system will be a touchscreen unit and it will have all the bells and whistles of a premium SUV. Being an all-new car, the dashboard and interior layout look modern with the new instrument cluster and the black and beige dual tone.
The 2.4-litre mill develops 167bhp of power and 222nm of torque and comes mated to CVT gearbox and might be offered in two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive options. In terms of safety it gets seven airbags along with traction control and ESP with ABS and EBD.
The Outlander is priced at Rs 31.84 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) and competes with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and the upcoming Honda CR-V.
