Mitsubishi India has officially started accepting bookings for the all-new Outlander SUV according to their website. While not much information has been shared about the pricing or booking amount, the dealers are accepting bookings for an amount of Rs 5 lakhs.
The Outlander is a petrol-only premium SUV and is known for its dynamic abilities on the road and also off it. Powered by the 2.4-litre DOHC MIVEC inline four-cylinder petrol engine, it gets 165bhp of power and 222Nm of torque and comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The torque-on-demand all-wheel drive system gets 2W as well as 4W modes.
The Outlander will be offered in just one fully loaded trim which gets a display screen, dual-zone climate control, leather seats et al. The cabin layout isn’t busy and there are reclining seats in the second row as well. We expect the Outlander to be priced at about Rs 25 lakhs and will compete with the Hyundai Tucson and the Honda CR-V in the Indian car market.
