Mini India will launch the Mini John Cooper Works in our country with an exclusive range of John Cooper Works Accessories. A news which was confirmed by the company in a press release and today even tweeted about by the Auto Expo twitter page.
Lifestyle cars like the Mini Cooper S and the Countryman will be strutting their stuff at the auto show, but taking the cake will be the hotter and more sportier version of the Mini, courtesy the tuning company called John Cooper Works. This company, like many of us may know, provides the performance upgrades for the Bavarian carmaker.
What will be showed at the expo will be a highly upgraded version of the Mini Cooper S and the Countryman. Looking at the pictures one might have already come to the conclusion as to what changes the company has brought in. The colour treatment makes it look bolder, bigger and raring to go.
The John Cooper Works concept car seen in the pictures is in a Bright Highways Grey colour with decals in red. It adorns a body kit giving it an aggressive look. The grille has black coloured surrounds and a red horizontal slat at the bottom. It is badged with ‘John Cooper Works’.
The front bumper of the vehicle gets air intakes instead of the fog lamps seen on the outgoing car. With a similar badge on the side profile, the car brags about the side skirts with red lining and red OVRMs. The rear spoiler has been painted in red while the bumper at the back gets dual exhausts tips placed in the centre. It also houses a diffuser. The car stands tall on 18-inch alloy wheels.
This is one car which they want to be seen and have previously displayed the John Coopers Works concept at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
