Mini Oxford edition now available in India through Amazon

The Mini Oxford Edition has been recently listed on the carmaker's site with its price expected to be Rs 44.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). Prospective buyers can place their orders on Amazon India.

This is a special edition of the Mini Cooper S available in solaris orange and midnight black exterior paint options. Apart from the blackened exterior elements, the hot hatch gets exclusive features like an aerodynamic kit, 17-inch alloy wheels, John Cooper Works rear spoiler and twin chrome exhaust tips. The USP of the Oxford edition is the incorporation of the Union Jack in the tail lamps and side scuttles. It is also seen on the leather upholstery, door sills, dashboard, steering wheel and the LED door projection.

The Mini Oxford Edition draws power from a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol mill producing 189bhp and 280Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It features two driving modes - sport and green. A head-up display, auto start/stop function with brake energy recuperation and active cooling air flaps come standard with this special edition.

The Mini Cooper is already available in India with a lot of customisation options. Still, only 25 units will be imported as completely built units (CBU) to maintain the exclusivity of this Oxford Edition.
