Mini has just updated the Countryman in India. Now available only in diesel form, the new Countryman gets revised exterior and interior bits to appeal to premium car buyers.
Designwise, the new Countryman gets a different grille, redesigned bumpers and new 17-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the cabin is very much in keeping with the brand’s familiar style but boasts a selection of new design and functional elements. The seating position is slightly raised and there are more chrome bits to be found on the dashboard.
The updated Countryman is available only with a 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine with common-rail injection and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It produces 112bhp of power and 270Nm of torque between 1,750 and 2,250rpm. Mini is claiming a zero to 100kmph time of 11.3 seconds and a top speed of 185kmph.
The updated Countryman is now on sale across India as a CBU (completely built-up) unit, with prices starting at Rs 36.50 lakh. The car joins Mini India’s current model line-up consisting of the Mini 3-door, the Mini 5-door and the Mini convertible.
