The Mini range is due for an update this year. The Cooper family has already been spotted with minimal camouflage on a few occasions before. The latest to go under the chisel is the Cooper S five-door. A test mule of the same was spotted testing in Germany.
Being a mid-life update, the changes will only be limited to cosmetic upgrades. The new Cooper S will have a new lighting signature on the headlamps, with new inner graphics for the rear lamp units. Apart from these two changes, the test mule remains identical to the current car on sale. Interestingly, the Cooper 5-door is wearing a lot of camouflage on the exterior compared to other Minis spotted recently.
A glimpse on the inside shows little modification around the dashboard. The infotainment system is expected to receive an update as well. The mechanicals will remain the same as the current Cooper S. However, the new powertrain would be slightly more efficient.
The updated Mini range is expected to be revealed later this year after a speculated global premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show. More details will be revealed soon, stay tuned to CarWale.
