- MG ZS to be offered with two powertrain options
- Could be launched alongside the ZS EV
MG Motors had revealed that the company would launch its second product in India, known as the ZS EV, in December 2019. Now, according to a leaked document, the company is also likely to launch the petrol and petrol-hybrid variants of the model.
The leaked document shared on the web reveals that the MG ZS has received the type approval certificate for the regular variants of the ZS. The petrol variant would be powered by a 106bhp 1.5-litre unit while the petrol-hybrid unit will be powered by a 111bhp 1.0-litre turbocharged unit. It remains unknown if the ZS will arrive as the facelifted version.
Coming to the MG ZS EV, the model will be powered by a 110kW electric motor producing 150bhp 350Nm of torque. The 45.6 kWh battery is said to have a range of 350kms. The model is expected to retain the same exterior and interior as the international-spec ZS EV.
