MG Motor India has revealed that the ZS EV will be launched in India January 2020. The India-spec model will be unveiled in the country on 5 December. The ZS EV is the second product for the brand in India after the Hector.
The MG fast charging stations for the ZS EV will be available in five cities including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad, details of which are given here. The electric variant of the ZS will be powered by a 44.5 kWh battery that is IP67 dust and water resistant.
Safety features on the MG ZS EV include a safety cage for the EV battery, six airbags, ABS, ESP, Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), rear passenger seat belt reminder, pedestrian alert system and Isofix child seat anchorages.
British actor Benedict Cumberbatch is the brand ambassador for the MG ZS EV in India. The company has also announced a campaign for the model, details of which are available here. Upon launch, the ZS EV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Kona Electric.
