The MG Windsor has been declared the winner of the Indian Green Car of the Year 2025. It beat out the BMW i5 in second place and BYD Seal in third place to win the race. This is MG’s first victory for the ICOTY, and it scored 157 points, compared to 99 for the BMW i5 and 87 for the Seal.
Launched in 2024, the Windsor is MG’s premium CUV is available across three variants and is powered by a 38kWh battery pack offering a range of 332km. There is a single FWD motor producing 134bhp and 200Nm. The top-spec variant gets features like level-2 ADAS, climate control with rear AC vents, dual digital screens, ventilated front seats, panoramic glass roof, 360-degree camera and a very comprehensive connected car suite.
The Windsor is MG’s third EV for India and is currently available from Rs. 11.75 lakh to Rs. 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It has three variants, four exterior colour options, and one interior colour option.
