Will be launched in India on 11 September
Is the third EV from MG for India
The latest development for the MG Windsor is that it will get a panoramic sunroof and this has been teased by the automaker ahead of the EV’s launch on 11 September. MG is calling it an ‘Infinity View Glass Roof’. Given how the brand has handled sunroofs for its other models, it will be electrically operated and have voice control in multiple languages.
We already know that MG is pushing the Windsor for its rear seat package and it will be the first in the segment to offer a 135-degree recline for the seatback. The rear seats will also get AC vents, charging ports, and ambient lighting.
The Windsor is MG’s third EV for India and will find a place in the automaker’s line-up between the Comet and the ZS EV, the latter of which is expected to undergo an upgrade in 2025. MG is appearing to emulate a now-accepted strategy of having multiple models for producing volumes in the same segment. The full line-up will now include the Astor, ZS EV, Hector, and the Hector Plus.
