- India launch in mid-September
- Third EV from MG for India
MG recently announced its third EV for India which will arrive here in mid-September. Based on the Cloud EV, it’s to be called the Windsor and MG has now revealed its rear seat package for the first time. The whole cabin will be trimmed out in black over beige with a quilt pattern for the seats. The major selling point is a 135-degree recline angle for the seat and what appears to be a really wide and long seat base. We can also see a rear AC vent, central armrest, seat back pockets and bottle holders in the doors as a part of the deal. MG has branded the package as aero-lounge seats.
The Windsor is expected to pick up the exterior and most of the interior design elements from the Cloud but obviously in the black and beige package. Some of the major features are expected to include dual-digital displays, level-2 ADAS, 360-degree cameras, connected car technology, and ambient lighting. We also expect MG to offer a large host of rear-seat accessories keeping in tune with the second-row first deal that it is trying with the Windsor.
The Windsor EV will come in between the Comet and ZS and that means it’s expected to be priced in a range where it will go up against cars like the Creta, Seltos, and Astor but also cars like the Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400.
