- To be launched on 11 September
- To get a panoramic sunroof, large infotainment screen, and more
MG Motor India will launch an all-electric MPV, the Windsor EV in the country, on 11 September. Now, ahead of its launch, select dealerships across the country have started accepting orders for this new electric vehicle.
The Windsor EV is a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV. Design-wise it carries the MPV and hatchback -of-sorts silhouette. However, the automaker is calling it a ‘CUV’. It will get a full-width light bar at the front and also at the rear. Other design highlights include vertically stacked LED headlamps, front fender-mounted charging port, alloy wheels, integrated rear spoiler, and flush-fitting door handles.
Inside the cabin, the Windsor EV will feature a segment-first 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless smartphone connectivity, 360-degree surround camera, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, digital instrument panel, airline-type rear seats with reclining function, and a panoramic sunroof.
Internationally, the Windsor EV is available with two battery pack options – 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh unit, with a maximum driving range of up to 460km on a single charge. Upon its launch, the MG Windsor EV will compete against the BYD e6 in the electric MPV space.
