- The CUV will rival the likes of the BYD e6 MPV
- Will be the third electric car from MG in India
MG Motor JSW India has confirmed that the prices of the new Windsor EV will be announced in the country on 11 September. Essentially a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV, it will be the third electric offering by the brand in the Indian market.
Previous teasers of the 2024 Windsor EV have confirmed multiple features. The exterior highlights will include LED light bars at the front and rear, vertically stacked headlamp cluster with projector headlights, charging port on the left front fender, chunky alloy wheels, integrated spoiler, and flush-fitting door handles.
Inside, the new CUV from MG will come equipped with a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, rear seats with a 135-degree recline function dubbed aero-lounge seats, ambient lighting, and black upholstery.
Globally, the MG Windsor EV is offered with 50.6kWh and 37.9kWh units paired with a single electric motor each, returning a claimed range of 460km and 360km, respectively, on a single full charge. It remains to be seen which of these will make it to the India-spec car. Once launched, the new Windsor EV will rival the likes of the BYD e6.
