Earlier this month, the upcoming MG Hector was spotted undisguised ahead of its expected launch in June 2019. Back then we also spoke about its interior design highlights. You can read about it here. This time around, more details about the Hector have emerged.
The Hector comes with a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system featuring pre-loaded applications like AccuWeather for weather forecast and Gaana.com for music streaming. The system also gets a circular on/off button with two chrome-finished buttons. The SUV further gets a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for better convenience. Moreover, the vehicle features an engine start-stop button with chrome surrounds.
The all-black cabin gets twin vertically stacked AC vents on the dashboard that are placed on both sides of a large central screen. New-age connectivity feature offers a voice assistant that is simply activated by saying ‘Hello MG’. The SUV gets over-the-air updates (OTA) and noteworthy smart features like e-call emergency response and the iSmart mobile application.
The upcoming SUV will be available with 1.5-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine option. Interestingly, the SUV will be the first ‘Internet car’ under Rs 20 lakhs, and also one of the most feature-loaded one in its segment. The company has also collaborated with YES bank to provide special financial offers for the Hector SUV.
