MG Motor India showcased the Hector, a mid-size SUV, in India on 15 May. The SUV will be a rival to the likes of Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500, and Hyundai Tucson. The Hector will come with a range of internet connectivity features and a mild-hybrid petrol powertrain.
The Hector will be available in four trims – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. Ahead of its launch in India, the variant-wise features of MG Hector have been leaked over the internet, and we have listed it below.

Powering the MG Hector will be a 1.5L turbocharged petrol motor and a Fiat-sourced 2.0L diesel. While the petrol engine will be available with a 6-speed manual as well as a DCT, the oil burner will only get a 6-speed manual transmission at the time of its launch. Select variants of the gasoline motor will also get a 48V mild-hybrid system.
