The much-awaited SUV from MG Motors, the Hector was spied undisguised at a private event ahead of its official debut in June 2019. Bookings for the vehicle will commence sometime in May. While the exterior details were revealed by the company previously, this time around, the leaked pictures reveal the interior details.Â
Based on what can be seen, the MG Hector will get a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system and a colour Multi-Information Display (MID). Additionally, the feature-loaded SUV will get a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof and a push start button. As for the interior, the vehicle will get a beige and grey combination. The company has partnered with SAP, Cisco and Microsoft to provide cloud-based services like real-time traffic with navigation, along with car health status and diagnosis. The custom operating system installed in the vehicle will receive over the air (OTA) updates.  Â
As for the design highlights, the MG Hector shares its underpinnings and body panels with the Baojun 530 SUV. As revealed in images, the MG Hector will receive chrome treatment for the fascia along with brushed-aluminium faux skid plate on the front and rear bumper. The vehicle will also get a set of diamond cut alloy wheels. As for the rear section, the SUV will be offered with a distinctive set of LED tail lamps. MG Motor India will initially start with 50 dealerships and 120 touchpoints in India. The company has also started the production for the Hector at the SAIC Halol based plant in Gujarat.
