MG Motor India has officially revealed the internet and connected technologies for its upcoming mid-sized SUV, the Hector. Interestingly, the company has also released exterior images for the upcoming vehicle. Back in March, the upcoming vehicle was spotted in production-ready form while shooting for a TVC featuring British actor Benedict Cumberbatch, popularly known for his role as Sherlock Holmes. The India-spec model will be similar to the one seen in the commercial.
The MG Hector SUV shares its underpinnings and body panels with the Baojun 530 SUV. As seen in images, MG Hector will be offered with chrome treatment for the fascia along with brushed-aluminium faux skid plate on the front and rear bumper. The vehicle will also get a set of diamond cut alloy wheels. The rear section will be offered with a distinctive set of LED tail lamps.
In terms of features, the production-ready Hector will be offered with a large 10.4-inch vertically mounted infotainment system, premium upholstery, a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof and more. The company has partnered with SAP, Cisco and Microsoft to provide cloud-based services like real-time traffic with navigation, along with car health status and diagnosis. The custom operating system installed in the vehicle will receive over the air (OTA) updates.
