- First Hector delivered in Gujarat

MG Motors has begun deliveries for the Hector in India. The first unit of the brand’s mid-size SUV was recently delivered to its owner, Madan Mohan, in Gujarat. A few reports had previously suggested that the Hector has received more than 13,000 bookings.
The top-end trim of the MG Hector comes equipped with features such as 10.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable driver and front passenger seat, 360 degree view parking system, leather upholstery, seven inch MID and hill hold and descent control. The MG Hector was launched in India with a price tag in the range of Rs 12.18 lakhs to Rs 16.88 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Engine options for the MG Hector include a 1.5-litre petrol unit that is offered with a six speed manual transmission and a DCT gearbox. There is also a 2.0-litre diesel motor that comes paired to a six speed manual transmission. The petrol motor is also available with a 48V hybrid option and comes mated to a six speed manual transmission. In India, the MG Hector rivals against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass and the Mahindra XUV500.
